Engineering Your Legacy
In the sprawling, majestic landscapes of Southern Colorado—where the high plains meet the Rocky Mountains and the wind carries stories of pioneers and miners—your property line is more than just a legal demarcation. It is the first line of defense against relentless gales, a statement of personal style against a backdrop of breathtaking beauty, and a critical component of your home’s long-term value. For over two decades, Epic Fences LLC has stood as the guardian of these boundaries, transforming simple perimeters into enduring legacies of security, privacy, and craftsmanship.
From the historic, antique-lined streets of Florence to the modern developments of Colorado Springs, and across the rural expanses of Fremont County, we understand that a fence is not merely an installation; it is Colorado infrastructure. It must be engineered to survive, designed to enhance, and built to last.
Part 1: The Southern Colorado Landscape
Southern Colorado presents a unique and formidable set of challenges for any exterior structure. A fence that would stand for 30 years in a temperate climate may fail in a decade here if not designed and installed with precise local knowledge.
The Wind: Nature's Force
The Front Range is a natural wind tunnel. Seasonal Chinooks and sudden thunderstorms can produce sustained winds over 50 mph and gusts exceeding 70-80 mph, particularly in open areas of Pueblo West, Fountain, and the Palmer Divide.
The Sun: High-Altitude Intensity
At elevations often above 5,000 feet, ultraviolet radiation is intensely destructive. It breaks down chemical bonds in materials, leading to vinyl that becomes brittle and fades, wood that grays, cracks, and warps.
The Soil: Unpredictable Ground
The ground beneath Southern Colorado is not uniform. You may find expansive clay in Pueblo that swells when wet and shrinks when dry, or decomposed granite in Penrose. In new developments, the soil is often unstable backfill.
Part 2: The Epic Fences LLC Service Spectrum
We are not a one-style-fits-all contractor. Southern Colorado’s diverse architecture and property types demand an equally diverse portfolio of solutions.

Part 3: The Epic Process
We have systematized excellence. Our 3-phase process ensures predictability and flawless execution.
Phase 1: The Digital Architect
Long before we break ground, your project is engineered in the digital realm. We use High-Resolution Satellite & GIS Data to assess property lines and topography. Digital consultations allow us to discuss your vision and budget before conducting a site visit.
Phase 2: The Site Verification
Digital data meets physical reality. We perform an on-site survey using laser measuring tools for pinpoint accuracy. We conduct comprehensive soil testing at multiple points and coordinate all utility locates (811) for safety.
Phase 3: The Artisan Installation
This is where our reputation is forged. Posts are set in wet-pour concrete and left to cure. Rails are secured with heavy-duty brackets. Every project concludes with our 37-Point Quality Control Inspection and complete site restoration.
Part 4: The Heart of Epic
Epic Fences LLC was founded in Cañon City in 2003. We are not a franchise. We live in the communities we serve. We know the specific fencing ordinances for Pueblo, Colorado Springs, and Fremont County. When you hire Epic, you are partnering with a neighbor who will be here to stand behind their work for decades.
